Who's behind Boyoma?
- Driving force behind Boyoma Sanctuary is the Wasmoeth Wildlife Foundation. The Foundation has been developing wildlife protection programmes in the DRC since 2001 (see www.wasmoethwildlife.org).
- Other important partners are the Government of the DRC, the regional government of Kisangani Province and a number of the local village chiefs.
- A team of some 40 local village men are building the infrastructure under the supervision of our ‘man-on-the-gound’ Daniel Hermand and assisted by volunteers from The Netherlands.
